A visit to Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas

We spent a lot of time in the bush as they say in Australia looking for birds and other wildlife. However, it's hard to find a koala and they don't let you hold them in the wild. So, we visited Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas.

Chris didn't mind that the koala left a little pee on her shirt for a chance to hold one.

There is one Australian bird that we wanted to see, but it's 500 kilometers from where we planned to be.  They had Gouldian Finches in a walk-in enclosure at Wildlife Habitat.  Although we like the challenge of finding a bird ourselves, it was hard to pass up photographing these finches here.
